What we do

Studio Aluma creates artworks that bring light, reflection, and quiet drama to interior spaces. Working primarily with metal grounds and meticulously layered oils, each piece is designed to feel both precise and atmospheric—suited to homes, galleries, and curated commercial environments.

We are a London-based practice focused primarily on high-end metal art editions. Each work is conceived with collectors, interior designers, and architects in mind, balancing strong visual impact with a refined, timeless aesthetic.

The studio’s approach combines traditional painting techniques with contemporary materials, resulting in surfaces that catch and hold light in unexpected ways. The aim is simple: to create works that feel considered, enduring, and at home in sophisticated spaces.

Materials & Method

Metal is at the core of Studio Aluma’s practice. Aluminium and copper panels are prepared, sealed, and layered with oils to create depth and luminosity while maintaining structural integrity.

Key considerations in every piece include:

  • Surface & sheen – From soft matte to subtle gloss, chosen to suit different lighting conditions.
  • Color & depth – Gradual transitions and tonal fields that reward close viewing.
  • Durability – Professional-grade materials and finishes intended for long-term display.

This material-led approach allows the work to interact elegantly with architecture, furnishings, and natural or artificial light.

For Collectors & Designers

Studio Aluma works closely with:

  • Private collectors building focused or first-time collections
  • Interior designers and stylists sourcing work for residential, hospitality, and corporate projects
  • Galleries and advisors seeking coherent series or site-specific editions

Support can include:

  • Guidance on scale and proportion relative to a room or wall
  • Suggestions for series or pairings across multiple spaces
  • Input on framing, installation, and lighting to present the work at its best

The goal is to make the process straightforward, transparent, and collaborative.
